The LW8-40.5 outdoor high-voltage SF6 circuit breaker is designed for the control and protection of 35kV power transmission and distribution systems, with a rated voltage of up to 40.5kV. Available electrical ratings, operating voltages, current-transformer configurations, insulation levels, and accessories can be selected according to the project’s single-line diagram and technical specifications.

For decades, Hairui has been dedicated to helping numerous well-known enterprises and institutions customize reliable equipment. With strong production capabilities and professional expertise, we ensure that our equipment is fully compliant and meets your requirements.

The LW8-40.5 is a three-phase outdoor high-voltage circuit breaker that uses SF6 gas for insulation and arc extinction. It is primarily used to control and protect 35kV transmission and distribution systems with a highest equipment voltage of 40.5kV.
Not usually. The LW8-40.5 is commonly applied in nominal 33kV or 35kV systems. The 40.5kV value refers to the highest voltage rating of the equipment.
The LW8-40.5 can be supplied for projects requiring design and testing in accordance with applicable IEC high-voltage switchgear requirements, including IEC 62271-100. The required standard edition, testing scope, and documentation should be specified during the inquiry stage.
Optional current transformers may be configured for measurement and protection purposes. Customers should provide the required ratio, accuracy class, burden, number of cores, and secondary wiring arrangement.
Project-specific configurations may be available for high-altitude, low-temperature, high-humidity, coastal, or polluted environments. The actual altitude, minimum and maximum temperature, pollution level, creepage-distance requirement, wind speed, and seismic conditions must be provided before selection.
Routine work normally includes checking gas density or pressure indications, operating-mechanism condition, terminal connections, corrosion, auxiliary circuits, and operation records. Maintenance intervals should follow the supplied manual and the site’s operating procedures.
